Sehari sebelum acara, petugas keamanan hotel menghalau siapa pun yang tak berkepentingan. Polisi bertebaran di mana-mana. The Return of Windows 7 Family Pack

The Windows 7 Family Pack returns, or at least it will, starting Oct. 3rd. Microsoft offered a Family Pack bundle (with 3 installations) when Windows 7 launched, but it was a limited-time offer, and in less than two months, supplies had pretty much been sold out.

Despite the fact that some other manufacturers (like Apple) make such Family Packs permanent, this will again be a temporary offering. Microsoft’s announcement:

Indonesia tidak bisa berpartisipasi lagi dalam program visa H-2A dan H-2B untuk USA

USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Imigration Service)secara resmi telah mengumumkan peraturan terbaru untuk perekrutan pekerja luar negeri ke USA pada tanggal 14 Januari 2011.

Kali ini USCIS mengumumkan bahwa Departement of Homeland Security (DHS) berkonsultasi dengan Deprtement of State mengidentifikasikan 53 negara yang penduduknya bisa berpartisipasi dalam program visa H-2A (Mengijinkan pekerja luar negeri bekerja di USA untuk sementara di bidang Agriculture) dan H-2B (mengijinkan pekerja luar negeri bekerja di USA sementara di bidang bukan Agriculture) untuk tahun kedepan.

Microsoft warns about application security flaw

Microsoft issued an advisory on Monday about a security issue that could leave many Windows applications vulnerable to attack.
The advisory deals with a type of attack mechanism known as DLL preloading, or binary planting. Although the attack mechanism is not new or entirely unique to Windows, Microsoft acknowledged that there appears to be a new remote-attack vector that could allow more systems to be attacked quickly.

Two researchers at the University of California at Davis published a paper earlier this year on how programs that were vulnerable could be automatically detected. In recent days, security expert and Metasploit creator HD Moore published more information about this issue and is adding the vulnerability to his Metasploit program.

With McAfee deal, Intel to bake in Security

In the future, you may not have to buy antivirus software for your laptops and mobile devices if Intel is able to live up to the promise of integrating technology from acquisition target McAfee, experts said on Thursday.

In announcing its plans to acquire security company McAfee for $7.68 billion, Intel executives said they see security as being as critical to computing as performance and connectivity and that they plan to combine security with its hardware and expand further into the mobile market.

While Intel has been pushing more and more functionality down into the chips, a marriage with McAfee will mark a shift away from the security firm’s traditional product strategy, experts told CNET.

iPads 2 comes with 128 storage, Exhibits speaker grille??

Apple itself might not be at CES, but the prospective upgrade of its iPad to version two has accessory manufacturers (or at least manufacturers’ imaginations) working overtime. We’ve just come across oursecond iPad 2 mockup, this one a lot more comprehensive than the first, which seems to mesh well with some earlier imagery we’ve seen of the supposed next-gen Apple tablet. Not only that, its rear labelreveals an A1337 product code — one that’s also shared by the current iPad WiFi + 3G — and lists 128GB of onboard storage, two times the current tablet’s maximum. We don’t know what material it’s made out of, but it felt felt the same as the current iPad’s aluminum shell. All that said, this is still just a mockup from a no-name accessory maker and we’re just as willing to believe it was put together on the basis of some decent rumor research as we are to think that it really is the iPad 2. No harm in browsing some pictures of this 9.4mm-thick device, though eh?

Carlo Ponzi lahir di Italia dan pindah ke New York pada tahun 1893. Saat itu usianya 15 tahun, dan dia suka meneari berbagai jalan singkat menuju kekayaan. US: Dead birds fall from sky

Officials are investigating why more than 1,000 birds - most of them dead - fell out of the sky in the US state of Arkansan on new year's eve.

The Arkansas Fish and Game Commission said it began receiving reports of the falling birds at about 23:30.

By midnight, more than 1,000 red-winged blackbirds had fallen in one area of the city of Beebe.

Crown Pork Roast with Apple-Cranberry Stuffing and Port Sauce.

Stuffing:


~ 1 Table spoon olive oil
~ 3 onions, chopped
~ 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
~ 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
~ 1/4 teaspoon all ground spice
~ 1 14 to 10 ounces package of cornbread stuffing mix
~ 1 cup pecans, chopped
~ 3 apples cored, not peeled and chopped
~ 1/2 cup fresh cranberries, chopped

In large skillet over medium heat, heat oil until shimmers. Add onions and cook about 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until translucent. Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon, pepper and all spice to combine. In large bowl combine onions, stuffing mix, pecans, apples, and cranberries.

Vegetarian diet good for kidneys

Eating a vegetarian diet lowers kidney disease patients' levels of potentially toxic phosphorus in the blood and urine, according to a small new study.

Kidney disease patients have to limit their intake of phosphorus, which is found in dietary proteins and is common food additive, because their bodies have a difficulty ridding themselves of the mineral. In these patients, high levels of phosphorus can lead to hearth disease and death.

Stiff neck causes, treatments

Stiffness in the neck creating pain and loss mobility is such a common complaint in the workplace that many people come to consider it a normal event.

Typically there is a "pulling" or "pinching" pain when moving the neck, usually when turning from side to side. There may also be a headache, shoulder pain and pain into the arm.

The stiffness is often episodic, which each episode lasting anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks.
